   3    The view <code class="structname">pg_config</code> describes the
   4    compile-time configuration parameters of the currently installed
   5    version of <span class="productname">PostgreSQL</span>. It is intended, for example, to
   6    be used by software packages that want to interface to
   7    <span class="productname">PostgreSQL</span> to facilitate finding the required header
   8    files and libraries. It provides the same basic information as the
   9    <a class="xref" href="app-pgconfig.html" title="pg_config"><span class="refentrytitle"><span class="application">pg_config</span></span></a> <span class="productname">PostgreSQL</span> client
  10    application.
